February 23, 2017, was Digital Learning Day. This effort, led by the Alliance for Excellent Education, encourages teachers and students to use technology to strengthen their learning experience. The Alliance wants to enhance teachers’ roles in the classroom through the use of modern technology.
Schools across the country held thousands of events to celebrate Digital Learning Day and were encouraged to participate in the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #DLDay. Activities included students learning programming and coding, videoconferencing with scientists, using computers to create charts and graphs, and more.
At Elevate Teachers, we love seeing events that are focused on empowering and assisting teachers. We hope to continue to see more teachers given the opportunity to use innovative technology to engage their students!
