Christine Rowlan, a math teacher at Canyon Springs STEM Academy in Anthem, Arizona, purchased 1,000 solar eclipse glasses for the whole student body and faculty.

Rowlan wanted her students to be able to witness the historical solar eclipse, but after she reserved the eclipse glasses, the company raised the price. The parent-teacher association suggested she crowdfund the additional cost, and within hours she raised enough to buy glasses for the school’s 822 students, plus staff.

At Elevate Teachers, we’re always encouraged to see people supporting teachers’ efforts. We’re happy that Rowlan’s dedication to her students will allow them to learn from an unforgettable experience.
